BC Entrepreneur Immigration Regional Pilot Program

The BC Entrepreneur Immigration Regional Pilot Program is a two-year initiative aimed at attracting foreign entrepreneurs to establish businesses in designated communities, thereby creating more employment opportunities to stimulate local economic development. The minimum investment requirement starts at just CAD 100,000, with a minimum personal net worth of CAD 300,000. These investment requirements are significantly lower compared to the existing BC Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) Entrepreneur Immigration category.

 

Application Requirements:

  • Language proficiency at CLB 4, equivalent to IELTS scores of Listening 4.5, Reading 3.5, Speaking 4.0, and Writing 4.0.
  • Conduct community research.
  • Invest a minimum of CAD 100,000 (half of the regular Entrepreneur Immigration Program).
  • Possess a personal net worth of at least CAD 300,000 (half of the regular Entrepreneur Immigration Program).
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience as an entrepreneur or 4 years as a senior manager within the last 5 years.
  • Hold at least 51% ownership in the business.
  • Submit a business plan to establish a new business in British Columbia and obtain a recommendation from a registered community.
  • The business must be located within specified communities in British Columbia, and a business concept assessment must be completed within the registered community.
